Hear how God is changing the marketplace
Before he saved the world, Jesus had a day job. And so did most of his early disciples. Peter and Andrew were fishermen, Matthew was the first-century equivalent of an IRS agent, and Paul sewed tents while spreading the gospel. But somewhere along the way, the idea that businesspeople could have a ministry was lost. That’s something Joe Greene, founder of the Brentwood-based CEO Fellowship, hopes to change. The CEO (Christian Executive Officer) Fellowship is a marketplace ministry aimed at helping believers live out their faith in the workplace. At the weekly Friday morning meetings, about 150 executives discuss how to put Christian principles to work in their daily decisions, like hiring and firing staff, borrowing money or putting together a business plan.
