Recent Fellowship Accomplishments

Below is a list of our most recent accomplishments:

1. Held a planning meeting in September 2007 to receive input on the long range strategic plan.
2. Developed the core CEO Fellowship curriculum of Biblical Principles for Business into 42 weeks of lessons and completed Leader’s and Participant’s Guides for 16 of these, to date.
3. Implemented the Wisdom Exchange program whereby those with business-related questions can present them anonymously to the membership and receive feedback from those who have experience in that area.
4. Launched the Prayer Team, led by Greg Buzek, to weekly pray for the needs of the Fellowship as well as the prayer requests and praises given by those in attendance at the Friday meetings.
5. Grown the ministry to over 100 contributing members.
6. Formed the Membership and Funding Committee, led by Bill Metcalfe – Chair, and Jack Eddleman – Vice Chair.

Ministry Helps Executives Apply Christian Principles to Workplace

Speakers Explain how faith, profit can mix.

Before he saved the world, Jesus had a day job. And so did most of his early disciples. Peter and Andrew were fishermen, Matthew was the first-century equivalent of an IRS agent, and Paul sewed tents while spreading the gospel. But somewhere along the way, the idea that businesspeople could have a ministry was lost. That’s something Joe Greene, founder of the Brentwood-based CEO Fellowship, hopes to change. The CEO (Christian Executive Officer) Fellowship is a marketplace ministry aimed at helping believers live out their faith in the workplace. At the weekly Friday morning meetings, about 150 executives discuss how to put Christian principles to work in their daily decisions, like hiring and firing staff, borrowing money or putting together a business plan.
